The candidate should have passed the matriculation Examination of P.S.E.B. or any other equivalent examination recognized by P.S.E.B. Mohali.
The college offers +1 and +2 classes in Medical and Non-Medical stream affiliated to P.S.E.B. with limited seats. The students are being taught by well qualified faculty of the college.
We offer an overall development of the students by providing the following diploma courses in the college:
Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA)
Eligibility: Graduation under 10+2+3 system with at least 45 % marks in aggregate.
Mode of Admission: Admission will be Based on the Merit determined from qualifying examination.
Diploma Course in Computer Applications (DCA) and Diploma in Library Sciences (D.Lib)
Eligibility: 10+2 examination in any stream with at least 40% marks in aggregate.
Mode of Admission: Admission will be based on the Merit determined from qualifying examination.
B.A., B.Sc.(Computer Science,IT) B.Voc(Web Technologies & Multimedia), B.C.A, B.Sc. (Economics) and B.Com.
Eligibility: Senior Secondary Examination (12th Grade with at least 40% marks in aggregate at the time of application or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto.
Eligibility: Senior Secondary Examination (12th grade) in Medical Stream with at least 40% marks or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by the University
Eligibility: Senior Secondary Examination (12th grade) in Non-Medical Stream with at least 40% marks or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by the University
The college offers a wide range of courses as per norms and rules established by G.N.D.U. in semester system which are as following:
- B.A. (Compulsory English, Compulsory Punjabi, Geography, History, Political Science, Economics, Physical Education, Elective English, Elective Punjabi, Elective Hindi, Punjab history & culture [for Non-residents of Punjab state], Basic Punjabi [for students who didn’t opt Punjabi during school].
- B.Sc. Life Sciences: 4 domains of study; namely Botany, Zoology, Chemistry and Physics.
- B.Sc. Physical Sciences: 4 domains of study; namely Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science(optional).

Eligibility: B.Sc. with Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics/Computer Science as one of the subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate in respective field or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto.
Eligibility: Bachelor of Arts in Punjabi. or Bachelor‘s Degree in any subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate. or Bachelor’s Degree with at least 45% marks in the subject of Punjabi (Elective).
Utilities and Facilities
The college has all the required and necessary facilities. The college has a safe environment for students and to maintain discipline in the campus is the foremost priority of it. The college facilitates students with transportation services, canteen, stadium for indoor games, playground, lush gardens, girl’s common hall, seminar hall, separate park for girls etc.
The college library is one of the oldest libraries of the city, with well-equipped reading room, houses around forty thousand essential and important books on various subjects has the capacity to accommodate more than two hundred students. It caters not only books concerned to syllabus, but other books, subscribed journals, magazines too.
Best college for science studies, S.D. College facilitates the students with well-equipped laboratories having all the required apparatus and other amenities. The college offers various under graduate, post graduate courses and diplomas in computer stream. The lab facility is centralized and college labs have been divided categorically, according to the segments that are: Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, Botany and Computer. The college has total 15 science labs, 1 geography lab and 5 computer labs which are being supervised by the college lab attendants under the guidance of our reverend professors.
To facilitate girl students, the college comprises a spacious common hall capacity to accommodate around 500 students with proper seating arrangement.
The college comprises of two Seminar Halls with advances technological equipment for presentations, lectures and movie screening.
The college stadium is the second largest stadium in the city, consistently used for cricket, volleyball, basketball, badminton, judo, wrestling and many more…
The college auditorium is the oldest in city and has the capacity of eight hundred people. It is utilized not only by the college but also the localites.
